Job summary

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Murfreesboro, TN, seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for our Operating Room. You will evaluate patients before surgery, educate families, and lead perioperative care including IV therapy and site verification.

You will collaborate with a dynamic team of surgeons, technologists and clinicians to ensure patient safety and efficient workflows, consistently applying nursing processes and critical thinking to care for patients.

Qualifications

• BLS (within 30 days) is required.
• RN licensure or degree is required.
• RN degree options include associate, bachelor, or RN diploma.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative meds, and site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practices.
