Indiana Ambulatory Surgical Associates is seeking a Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse for a part-time, on-site role in Indiana, PA. The RN will administer perioperative care, monitor preoperative processes, and support patients through the operative and recovery phases.

The ideal candidate has a state-approved nursing degree, PA licensure, and ACLS/PALS certifications, with strong interpersonal skills and a focus on patient safety and education.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state approved school of professional nursing.
• Current licensure to practice professional nursing in Pennsylvania.
• ACLS/PALS certification within time specified after employment and annually to remain employed.
• Knowledge of nursing care practices, policies, procedures and techniques.
• Understanding how nursing care interfaces with Indiana Ambulatory Surgical Associates.

Responsibilities

• Administers nursing care according to established policies and procedures.
• Monitors preop process to ensure informed consents, H&Ps, and preop testing are complete; admits patients to preop and prepares them for surgery.
• Manages postoperative care, assesses vitals, and provides patient teaching.
• Acknowledges potential complications and initiates appropriate treatment in emergencies.
• Utilizes Universal Precautions during pre- and post-operative care and anesthesia-related settings.
