Job summary

Beloit Health System is adding a Registered Nurse to our team at NorthPointe Ambulatory Surgery Care Center located at the NorthPointe Campus in Roscoe, IL. The role involves providing direct patient care throughout the surgical experience and collaborating with the care team.

The RN will prepare the operating/procedure room, educate patients, and ensure safety across the care continuum. Per diem shifts with varied hours, supporting the Ambulatory Surgery Care Center.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing
• ADN Diploma, BSN, or MSN degree acceptable
• Current Illinois Nursing License and Wisconsin Nursing License
• BLS/CPR or the ability to obtain within three (3) months of hire
• ACLS or the ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire
• PALS or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on scientific nursing principles.
• Work with all members of the health care team to provide optimal care during the surgical center experience.
• Serve as the communication liaison to family and operating team members.
• Assist in patient education during all phases of the experience at the ASTC.
• Record care information concisely and accurately in the appropriate format with the computer system.
• Prep operating/procedure room for patient and procedure.
• Identify risks to patients and act to minimize or eliminate risk and maximize safety.
• Monitor patients' physical and emotional well-being throughout the care continuum.
• Perform other position-related duties as assigned.
• May direct care provided by licensed practical nurses and nursing aides.
