Veterans Health Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and Ambulatory Center for Surgery and Procedures (ACSP - Preoperative Unit). The role requires a strong ICU/CCU and medical–surgical background with emphasis on post- and pre-operative care.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, perioperative monitoring, discharge education, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

• English language proficiency for direct patient care.
• Graduate of an nursing program approved by ACEN or CCNE.

Responsabilités

• Prepares patients for surgery and outpatient procedures.
• Assists with the recovery of patients post-operatively.
• Provides discharge instructions to veterans post-discharge.
• Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to plan and deliver holistic patient care.
