Job summary

Qualifications

• English language proficiency required for direct patient care.
• Graduate of a nursing program approved by accrediting bodies (ACEN/CCNE).
• Foreign-educated nurses must meet VA licensure/validation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-operative/procedural assessment and care for surgical patients.
• Assist with consent, H&P validation, IV starts, and venipuncture.
• Ensure lab work and pre-op tests are completed and communicated to the team; verify site preparation and medication administration per orders.
