Job summary

Baptist Surgery Center in Madison, MS is seeking a Preop Recovery Nurse - PRN to join our team as we open a new Ambulatory Surgical Center. The role provides peri-operative nursing care, including pre-op interviews, assessments, and discharge instructions, under the direction of the PACU Manager and Director of Nursing.

Requirements include an active RN license, CPR, ACLS, and at least one year in pre/post-operative surgical care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved nursing program with active RN license.
• ACLS and CPR certifications required or obtainable within 60 days.
• Minimum two years in ICU/ER/Recovery or critical care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide peri-operative patient care in ambulatory surgery center.
• Execute pre-operative interview, consent, and assessments.
• Document postoperative care and discharge instructions.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff for patient safety and comfort.
• Supervise ancillary personnel in pre/post-operative areas.
