Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Manhasset seeks an Ambulatory Surgery Patient Support Assistant to join our team. You will provide direct and indirect patient care under a Registered Nurse, aiding in clinical, procedural, and unit operations in the ASC setting.

The role requires a CNA certification (or CN A program graduate), a high school diploma, and at least 6 months of relevant experience, with BLS/CPR required on entry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Certified Nursing Attendant Program, certified as a CNA.
• At least 6 months relevant experience.
• BLS or Heartsaver CPR/AED certification required on entry.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and monitor vital signs as needed.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Stock rooms, set up equipment, and ensure sterile technique.
• Support procedures and assist surgical teams in ASC.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient care environment.
• Communicate with patients, families, and care teams.
