Job summary

Meritus Health in Hagerstown, MD is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Ambulatory Surgical Center. This full-time role rotates across Pre-Admission Testing, Operating Room, PACU, and Pre-Op, providing care to both adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced perioperative setting.

You’ll participate in a variety of procedures (ENT, gynecology, general and cosmetic surgery), collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams, and uphold safety and quality across the full perioperative

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years RN experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center, ambulatory procedural setting, or Operating Room.
• Prior ENT experience preferred.
• Prior pediatric nursing experience preferred.
• Experience across multiple phases of perioperative care strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through PAT, Pre-Op, OR, and PACU to support patient care.
• Perform preoperative nursing assessments and review patient health histories.
• Review medications, allergies, diagnostic testing, and other clinical information for surgery.
• Provide preoperative education and instructions to patients and families.
• Identify potential clinical concerns and collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, and the care team.
