Job summary

Meritus Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Surgical Center in a full-time role in Hagerstown, MD. You will rotate through Pre-Admission Testing, Pre-Op, the Operating Room, and PACU, delivering comprehensive perioperative care to adult and pediatric patients.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of RN experience in ASC/OR settings, MD RN licensure, BLS, ACLS/PALS, and pediatric/ENT exposure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years RN experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center, ambulatory procedural setting, or Operating Room.
• Current Maryland RN license to practice as an RN.
• Current BLS; ACLS and PALS certification required or to be obtained within the designated timeframe.
• Pediatric experience and ENT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care across Pre-Admission Testing, Pre-Op, Operating Room, and PACU as needed.
• Perform preoperative assessments, verify documentation, and administer medications per protocol.
• Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, and care team to ensure safe perioperative care.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced ASC setting.
• Maintain sterile technique and adherence to perioperative standards.
