Job summary

Kaweah Health in Visalia, CA seeks an experienced registered nurse to lead and mentor the Nursing team in the Surgery Center-Ambulatory. You will oversee staffing, patient flow, and clinical decisions to ensure high-quality care and smooth operations.

The role requires CA RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS/PALS within set timeframes, with preferred BSN or MSN and 2+ years in a specialty RN role. This full-time position offers benefits and on-site work in a dynamic acute care setting.

Qualifications

• CA RN license is required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS within one year of hire/transfer.
• PALS within six months of hire/transfer.
• Preferred: BSN or MSN, or currently enrolled in RN‑BSN program.
• Minimum of two years RN experience in the specialty area.

Responsibilities

• Acts as primary clinical resource for staff on the unit and mentors staff.
• Provides leadership and support through problem solving and decision making.
• Leads clinical assessment, decisions, and professional support for staff.
• Coordinates care with physicians and other departments to ensure patient care continuity.
• Manages staffing, admissions, transfers, and ensures timely shift handoffs.
• Promotes collaboration and professional behavior across the care team.
