Job summary

Qualifications

• CA RN license required or eligible
• ACLS within 1 year of hire
• PALS within 6 months of hire
• BSN/MSN preferred
• Minimum 2 years RN experience in specialty area

Responsibilities

• Primary clinical resource for staff on assigned unit.
• Mentor staff and serve as role model.
• Represent unit leadership in absence of manager/director.
• Provide leadership and problem-solving support to staff.
• Coordinate patient admissions/transfers with House Supervisor/Bed Coordinator.
• Model professional communication (SBAR) and rounding.
• Promote collaboration among staff, physicians, and departments.
• Ensure orientation for float staff and new employees.
• Document patient care issues and maintain unit goals.
