Penn Medicine is seeking an Ambulatory Retail Pharmacy Technician - Specialty to support the Central Fill Specialty Pharmacy. This full-time day-shift role emphasizes teamwork, precision, and helping patients access essential medications.

You will process prescriptions, verify histories, and collaborate with pharmacists and care teams to ensure timely medication access and coverage details for patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required (Please upload your current certification when applying).
• Registered Pharmacy Technician (PA State Board of Pharmacy) required (Please upload your current certification when applying).
• 1 year of retail pharmacy technician experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medications with counting, labeling, and packing.
• Unpack deliveries, receive and organize supply orders.
• Process prescriptions for ambulatory/specialty patients.
• Collect complete and accurate medication histories and ensure pharmacist review.
• Communicate coverage details and patient responsibilities to patients and staff.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and care teams to ensure medication access.
• Assist with insurance verification and patient eligibility.
