Job summary

IU Health is seeking an RN for Ambulatory Radiation Oncology to provide compassionate, patient-centered care, coordinating treatments, educating patients, and triaging care for those undergoing radiation therapy at the Bloomington and Bedford centers.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, APPs, and multidisciplinary teams, with potential scheduling flexibility based on patient census and unit needs.

Qualifications

• Requires ASN; BSN preferred.
• Active RN license in Indiana or NLC RN license.
• BLS certification required; other life support certifications may be required per unit.
• Graduate from nationally accredited nursing program; exceptions for >2 years experience subject to CNO review.
• May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate treatment, symptom management, patient education, and triage for radiation therapy patients at IU Health Bloomington/Bedford centers.
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and multidisciplinary teams across three treatment units.
• Support clinic hours 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. with schedule flexibility based on patient census.
