Job summary

Novant Health Plastics & Reconstructive Surgery in Asheville, NC is seeking an experienced RN to support ambulatory surgical care. You will collaborate with surgeons and staff, triage patient needs, prepare patients for visits, and assist with in-office procedures.

This role emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based care, patient education, and coordination of pre- and post-operative care. A Bachelor’s degree in nursing and an active RN license are preferred, with ACLS/PALS/DOT/BAT certifications

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active RN license in the appropriate state is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care in an ambulatory setting.
• Triage and manage incoming patient calls to ensure timely and appropriate follow up.
• Room patients, prepare them for provider visits, and assist with in-office procedures.
• Build authentic, personalized relationships with patients and their chosen support systems.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to create and manage individualized care plans regarding labs, imaging, and referrals.
• Provide patient education and perioperative support including pre-op instructions, post op-care, and discharge teaching.
• Apply best scientific evidence and clinical expertise to guide nursing decisions.
• Advocate for patients while ensuring safe, compassionate, and high-quality care—supporting both physical outcomes and patient confidence.
• Take ownership and accountability for the coordination and delivery of nursing care, with attention to detail and patient experience.
