SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) Ambulatory Registered Nurse in Sitka, Alaska, delivers professional outpatient nursing care across the lifespan in a fast-paced clinic setting.

The RN utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, administers medications, and provides patient education and care coordination in collaboration with providers and interdisciplinary teams to promote safety and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Alaska.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications must be obtained within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately per orders.
• Document nursing actions and patient responses in the EHR.
• Coordinate with providers and interdisciplinary teams for patient care and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families about care, medications, and follow-up needs.
