Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking an experienced RN to provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting, assess patients, perform triage, and create care plans. You will administer medications, initiate CPR, and coordinate procedures while educating patients and families.

Some regional travel may be required to support clinics and surgeries. Required RN licensure and BLS; ACLS within six months of hire; 1 year of recent clinical experience in ambulatory settings is expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through AHA or Red Cross
• ACLS certification within six months of hire
• One year of recent RN/clinical healthcare experience in ambulatory or related setting

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, establish care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify physician/LIP of abnormal findings.
• Assist with diagnostic/therapeutic procedures and patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate and document health education for patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and procedures.
