Job description

Overview:

This is a 0.8 FTE role, working 32 hours per week, with benefits, in a non-exempt position.

Must be able to travel to offsite locations: Lewis Center, Westerville, Hilliard, and Main Campus.

Minimum pay: $32.64/hour.

Clinic hours: 8am-4:30pm, with rotating late days on Monday.

Job Summary:

The role emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention by assisting patients and families to navigate their care episodes safely and effectively. Delegates, supervises, and provides quality, safe, and developmentally appropriate patient care.

Essential Functions:

  1. Provides nursing care using a Family-Centered approach.
  2. Assesses patient needs, plans, implements, educates, and evaluates care based on Evidence-Based Practices.
  3. Ensures clinic processes comply with regulations and policies.
  4. Collaborates with providers and team members to ensure smooth clinic operations and positive patient outcomes.
  5. Documents care according to organizational standards.
  6. Engages in workplace community activities, participates in data collection and quality improvement, and reports updates to staff.

Education Requirements:

  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing program required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred; must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.

Licensure:

Licensed Registered Nurse in Ohio required.

Certifications:

AHA BLS Certification required.

Experience:

Three years of pediatric clinical experience or equivalent preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Occasional: biohazard waste handling, stairs, color vision, driving, electrical hazards, fumes, lifting (41-60 lbs), loud noises, machinery, power tools, pushing/pulling (>100 lbs with assistance), seeing near/far.

Frequent: bending, twisting, exposure to bodily fluids, chemicals, pathogens, depth perception, neck movement, hand use, peripheral vision, various pushing/pulling weights, reaching, sitting, squatting/kneeling.

Continuous: speech, computer use, decision making, hearing, data interpretation, lifting (0-40 lbs), problem solving, repetitive hand/arm movements, standing, walking.
