Job description

Overview:

This is a 1.0 FTE position, working 40 hours per week, in a benefits-eligible, non-exempt role.

Must be able to travel to offsite locations including Lewis Center, Westerville, Hilliard, and Main Campus.

Minimum pay: $32.64 per hour.

Clinic hours are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with late days on Mondays on a rotation basis.

Job Description Summary:

Focuses on health promotion and disease prevention by assisting patients and families to navigate their care episodes safely, effectively, and efficiently. Delegates, oversees, and provides quality, safe, and developmentally appropriate patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides nursing care with a Family-Centered approach.
  • Assesses individual patient needs, and plans, implements, educates, and evaluates care based on Evidence-Based Practices.
  • Ensures clinic processes comply with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Collaborates with healthcare providers and team members to ensure smooth clinic operations and positive patient outcomes.
  • Documents care according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Engages in workplace community activities, stays informed about changes, participates in data collection and quality improvement initiatives, and communicates updates to staff.

Education Requirements:

  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing program is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred; must complete BSN within 5 years of employment.

Licensure:

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Ohio is required.

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.

Experience:

Three years of pediatric clinical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Occasional tasks include handling biohazard waste, climbing stairs, driving, working with electricity, handling chemicals, lifting up to 60 lbs, exposure to loud noises, machinery, power tools, and pushing/pulling heavy loads with assistance. Frequent tasks include bending, twisting, handling bodily fluids, chemicals, and patient equipment, reaching, sitting, and kneeling. Continuous activities involve speaking, computer use, decision-making, hearing, data interpretation, and lifting/carrying up to 40 lbs.
