Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a Quality and Safety Program Coordinator to support ambulatory pediatrics within the Primary Care ICCE. You will collect, analyze, and benchmark data, disseminate findings to stakeholders, and advance quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory readiness across divisions.

You will present performance results to governance groups and help develop strategies that enhance outcomes, safety, and clinical effectiveness for MUSC patients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field with 5+ years in quality/improvement.
• Master’s degree in a health-related field with 2+ years healthcare quality experience.
• Direct report leadership experience preferred (2+ years).
• Clinical chart review and abstraction experience preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Responsibilities

• Collect, validate, and analyze quality and safety data.
• Disseminate information to stakeholders and benchmark performance.
• Support multidisciplinary teams to drive improvement and patient outcomes.
• Present performance results to oversight and governance groups.
• Develop performance improvement strategies and governance documents.
