Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science from an accredited college.
• MT/MLS certification required by HEW, ASCP, AMT or AAB.
• 2–4 years medical laboratory experience; supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all aspects of point-of-care testing in ambulatory settings, including urgent care.
• Trains clinical staff in testing procedures and equipment per manufacturer procedures.
• Maintains equipment to meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Audits incident reports and quality control documents; reports discrepancies.
• Ensures timely and accurate test-result reporting per lab/ambulatory policy.
