Job summary

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare seeks a Point of Care Clinical Coordinator to plan and implement quality management standards for ancillary laboratory testing and regulatory compliance. The role trains personnel, monitors QC and maintenance records, and evaluates new instrumentation for accuracy and reproducibility.

The incumbent performs policy development and ensures procedures align with regulatory guidelines, while coordinating with nursing units and external vendors to maintain testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is required.
• Regulatory knowledge related to CLIA, CAP and state boards is required or preferred.
• Experience with point-of-care testing and instrumentation is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Ability to train personnel and write policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate bedside-testing instruments used outside the Laboratory.
• Evaluate POC instrumentation performance and ensure accurate reporting.
• Maintain POC quality monitoring documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Provide training to end users on proper use of POC instruments.
• Serve as liaison between laboratory and other departments and vendors.
