Job summary

Dolly Parton Children's Hospital seeks a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee point-of-care testing across ambulatory and urgent care locations. You will train staff, monitor QC, and ensure adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities include calibrating equipment, auditing results, and ensuring timely reporting while maintaining high quality standards for patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Science.
• Certification as MLS or MT by ASCP, AMT or AAB.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of point-of-care testing in ambulatory settings including urgent care.
• Train clinical staff on testing procedures and equipment per manufacturer and regulatory standards.
• Monitor and maintain equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
• Audit quality control reports and incident reports; address operator/testing concerns.
• Perform and document testing of specimens according to established protocols.
• Ensure timely reporting of test results and adherence to lab policies.
• Maintain calibration and preventive maintenance of instruments as required.
