Qualifications

• Pharmacist-supervised dispensing and order filling.
• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required (PTCB) within 6 months of hire.
• Registration as a PA Pharmacy Technician is required.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interprets and fills outpatient medication orders under pharmacist supervision.
• Replenishes and inventories stock; maintains adequate pharmacy supply.
• Checks expiration dates and handles recalls and returns.
• Gathers prescription data: insurance coverage, patient details, eligibility.
• Uses computer systems to access and input medication information.
• Operates cash register for transactions and processes payments.
• Answers patient questions and refers medical questions to the pharmacist.
