Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for our ambulatory pharmacy operations. The role includes creating patient profiles, entering prescription plan data for processing, and resolving insurance and reimbursement issues to support efficient patient care.

The position requires a Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or equivalent) and at least two years of ambulatory pharmacy experience, with a preference for a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Two years of ambulatory pharmacy experience preferred.
• PTCB or national certification required; state certification acceptable if equivalent.
• Trainee license must upgrade to technician license before expiration.

Responsibilities

• Create patient profiles in the pharmacy information system.
• Enter prescription plan information for processing and adjudication.
• Address insurance, reimbursement, and payment issues with providers, patients, and pharmacists.
• Assist with adjudicated claims to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
• Deliver medications and pharmaceutical supplies to patients via concierge program.
