Job summary

Corewell Health in Grand Rapids seeks a Pharmacy leader to direct the direction, coordination, and analysis of pharmacy services, using data from multiple sources to identify improvement opportunities and ensure quality, safety, and financial performance.

You will lead a diverse team, collaborate with a multidisciplinary group to implement programs, and maintain in-depth knowledge of pharmacy operations while pursuing ongoing professional growth. This is a full-time day-shift role in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited college.
• Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• 5 years of relevant hospital pharmacy experience.
• 3 years of relevant hospital pharmacy practice or PGY2 residency experience.
• MI licensure: Clinical Pharmacist (90 days) and Pharmacist Controlled Substance (90 days).

Responsibilities

• Manages activities of professional, technical and support staff engaged in ordering, compounding, dispensing, preparing, storing, using and distributing drugs and other pharmaceutical products.
• In collaboration with IS personnel, develops, implements, improves and maintains pharmacy information systems and technology.
• Oversees, prepares and updates policies and procedures affecting the Pharmacy as assigned.
• Provides direction and support to staff to ensure effectiveness and efficiency; staffs development and evaluations per department policies and organization philosophy.
• Provides clinical consultation and expertise in support of patient care, including drug therapy, drug regimen reviews and pharmacology.
• Engages in continuous study of the field to maintain competence and completes required training.
• Anticipates customer needs and manages provision of services to patients, physicians, departments, and staff; resolves problems promptly.

Education

PharmD (accredited)

MBA or related master’s degree (preferred)
