Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Manager of Patient Care Services to oversee nursing practice and operations within the Multispecialty Ambulatory Care unit in New York.

This leadership role requires a BSN, RN licensed in NY, 3–5 years of supervisory nursing experience, and a track record of maintaining high standards of patient care. You will collaborate with clinical leaders, orient new staff, ensure compliance with NYSDOH, and drive performance improvement on the unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master’s in nursing or health-related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of nursing clinical care with Charge Nurse/Supervisory experience preferred.
• Current RN License in New York.

Responsibilities

• Manage clinical nursing practice and operations on a designated unit/service.
• Supervise and evaluate nursing personnel to maintain standards of care.
• Plan, direct, coordinate, and evaluate the delivery of nursing care.
• Collaborate with the Nursing Clinical Director and Physician Leader.
• Participate in the orientation and evaluation of new nursing staff.
• Maintain compliance with New York State Department of Health regulations.
• Monitor nursing staff performance and assist in counseling and disciplining when necessary.
• Participate in the department’s performance improvement activities.
• Provide age-appropriate care based on physical, psychosocial, and educational criteria.
• Act as a resource for staff regarding nursing policies and procedures.
