Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Nurse Manager to lead nursing practice and operations on a designated unit or service setting. The NM will oversee clinical nursing practice, staff recruitment and retention, labor relations, supply chain and budget, staffing, performance evaluation, quality improvement, education, documentation, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing required.
• Master's in nursing or health-related field preferred.
• Licensed as a registered nurse in New York State; board certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing practice using Professional Practice Model and Care Delivery Model for patient experience.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Hourly Care Checks and monitors staff performance.
• Conduct daily staff and patient rounding; provide feedback and escalation as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, case management, pharmacy, and other services to address patient care outcomes.
• Interpret patient experience scores and drive quality and safety improvements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and lead safety and quality initiatives.
