Job summary

HCA Healthcare's North Texas Float Pool is seeking an Operating Room Nurse for our ambulatory surgery center. This PRN Float Pool role offers opportunities to contribute your circulating or scrub expertise and ensure safe, high-quality patient care until transfer to recovery.

You will oversee OR setup, act as circulator, coordinate room flow between procedures, assist with anesthesia, review charts, and uphold our values of caring like family within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment.
• BCLS certification required at employment (online not acceptable).
• ACLS as required by facility.
• PALS is preferred, but may be required at some facilities.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the instrument and equipment set-up for your OR, including utilization of preference cards and anticipate surgeons' needs.
• Coordinate and oversee your room during a case as the circulator.
• Facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures.
• Assist with safe patient handling and body mechanics.
• Manage patient care and medications, including anesthesia assistance.
• Review patient charts for completeness per documentation protocols.
