Job summary

Surgery Ventures North Texas Float Pool, operated under HCA Healthcare, seeks an Operating Room Nurse for our ambulatory centers in North Texas. You will contribute your expertise as circulating or scrub, ensuring safe nursing care until transfer to recovery.

The role requires at least 1 year in OR, valid RN license, BCLS and ACLS as required, with CNOR preferred. Float duties include moving between Anna and Allen facilities, with a patient-centered care approach.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably ambulatory.
• Active RN license as required by state of employment or applicable compact licensure.
• BCLS Certification upon employment (online not acceptable).
• ACLS as required by facility.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee instrument and equipment setup for the OR, utilizing preference cards and anticipating surgeon needs.
• Coordinate and oversee the room during a case as the circulator.
• Facilitate efficient transition between surgical procedures.
• Use proper body mechanics when moving patients to stretchers and OR tables.
• Manage patient care and medications, including anesthesia assistance.
• Review charts for completeness per documentation protocols before and after procedures.
