Job summary

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Main Street is seeking an Operating Room Manager to oversee five OR rooms and two treatment areas in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. The role emphasizes cost-effective operations and strong collaboration with patients, physicians and staff.

The OR Manager drives quality improvements, coordinates anesthesia and sterile processing, and may assist as an RN Circulator as needed. Schedule is weekdays with occasional early mornings or evenings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree preferred.
• Five (5) years’ experience in surgery as circulator
• Two (2) years’ experience in surgery management which includes pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care.
• Current Texas RN License- BLS
• CNOR preferred
• Independent decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills with staff and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all departmental functions to align with the hospital’s mission and goals.
• Implements cost-effective systems considering business trends, resources and patient needs.
• Builds strong relationships with patients, physicians, staff and vendors to ensure high-quality care.
• Manages surgery, anesthesia, and sterile processing services and drives improvements using feedback.
• May assist as an RN Circulator and Scrub Tech when needed.
