Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school or ophthalmology program.
• Board certification or eligibility in ophthalmology.
• Mass DPH controlled substances registration or ability to obtain post-hire.
• DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post-hire.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical assessments on patients with specialized conditions.
• Develops and implements a plan of care and prescribes medications, exercises or other treatments.
• Collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to manage patient care and maintain continuity with outside agencies.
• Acts as liaison between primary care providers and specialists for patient care.
• Teaches and counsels individuals or groups on health care needs; educates in areas of specialization.
• Participates in development of health education programs.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Medical School or Ophthalmology program

Board Certified or Board Certified Eligible in Ophthalmology
