The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center's Ambulatory Treatment Center Pharmacy Team is seeking a Pharmacist with leadership experience to oversee medication delivery for high‑volume outpatient cancer care. The role emphasizes collaboration with nurses and physicians to ensure timely, accurate chemotherapy and supportive therapies in a fast‑paced, patient‑centered setting.

Requirements include a BS in Pharmacy or Pharm.D., Texas Pharmacist license within 90 days, ACLS/BLS as applicable,

Qualifications

• Education: BS in Pharmacy or Pharm.D.
• Texas Pharmacist license within 90 days of job entry.
• ACLS certification within 90 days for specified departments.
• Two years of Pharmacist/Clinical Pharmacist experience.
• LEADing Self Accelerate/Discover may substitute supervisory experience.
• Onsite presence required and pre-employment skills test.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff to ensure safe medication delivery and patient safety.
• Assist with interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees.
• Complete performance evaluations and maintain documentation.
• Schedule staff and delegate assignments to meet productivity standards.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to SOPs.
• Maintain proficiency with pharmacy technology and equipment.
• Lead QA/CQI activities and document results.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary departments to improve service delivery.
