Job summary

UC San Diego Health, Moores Retail Pharmacy is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to cover ambulatory oncology retail pharmacies. The role includes medication provision and documentation, onboarding and management of oncology patients, and serving as a preceptor to residents and students.

Must be able to work variable shifts, including weekends/holidays, and rotate to all pharmacy sites. Strong communication and regulatory knowledge are essential for success in this large, complex organization.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree.
• Registered Pharmacist issued by the state of California (RPH).
• Incumbents can meet the minimum experience qualifications for this position in 1 of 3 ways: 1) possesses a Post Graduate Year (PGY) 2 or 2) possesses a Post Graduate Year (PGY) 1 plus 1 year of pharmacist experience, or 3) possesses 4 years of pharmacist experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document medications and medication-related services to patients according to standards established by the Department of Pharmacy.
• Assist in on-boarding and ongoing patient management of oncology patients and serve as a preceptor to residents and students.
• Promote institution-wide medication use policy and participate in committees.
