Job summary

UC San Diego Health, Moores Retail Pharmacy, seeks a highly motivated Staff Pharmacist II to cover ambulatory oncology retail pharmacies in La Jolla. Under general supervision, you will provide and document medications and medication-related services to patients, and you may serve as a preceptor to residents and students.

You will participate in committees and promote institution-wide medication-use policy, with counseling at the chairside as part of the Med to Chair program.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Pharmacy Degree.
• Registered Pharmacist issued by the state of California (RPH).
• Can meet minimum experience via PGY-2, PGY-1 + 1 year, or 4 years of pharmacist experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide and document medications and medication-related services to ambulatory oncology patients.
• Serve as a preceptor to pharmacy residents and students.
• Participate in Medical Center and Departmental committees and promote medication use policy.
• Counsel patients in the pharmacy and at chairside as part of Med to Chair program.
