Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, operates Marsh Med Ctr Iron Mtn in Iron Mountain, MI. The Medical Assistant supports providers with patient care, prepares instruments, and schedules services. You will document patient data, assist with exams, and communicate with patients.

Shift is 10 hours day, full-time, 40 hours weekly; no weekend or on-call rotation. Requires Medical Assistant Program graduate with BLS within 30 days; AFSCME union.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program or applicable on the job clinical experience.
• If Medical Assistant Program has not been completed, must have applicable on the job clinical experience. Experience working as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 30 days of hire.

• Provides basic clinical, clerical, and technical support to assist providers in planning for patients’ care.
