Los Angeles Cancer Network in Century City, CA is hiring a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our infusion team. You will provide direct oncologic nursing care throughout treatment, from diagnosis to ongoing care, in an ambulatory chemo infusion setting.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license.
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong IV skills with ability to access port-a-caths and PICC lines.
• Previous oncology/hematology experience highly preferred.
• Knowledge of oncology/hematology terminology.
• Basic computer, typing, and keyboarding skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to oncology and hematology patients in an ambulatory infusion setting.
• Mix and administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, hydration, injections, and other meds under physician supervision.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patients throughout treatment.
• Educate patients and families regarding chemotherapy, potential side effects, and symptom management.
• Document accurately and timely in the EMR; maintain a safe, organized clinic environment.
• Assist with scheduling chemotherapy, hydration, injections, and bone marrow procedures in the EMR.
