Job summary

The Los Angeles Cancer Network is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Century City infusion team in a full-time role providing direct oncology care from diagnosis through treatment and supportive care. You will work closely with physicians and the care team to ensure a safe, patient-centered treatment journey.

Ideal candidates will hold an active California RN license, CPR/BLS, and chemotherapy certification or be able to obtain within 12 months.

Qualifications

  • California RN license required.
  • ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Strong IV skills with port-a-caths and PICC lines.
  • Previous oncology/hematology experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of oncology/hematology terminology.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Provide direct nursing care to oncology and hematology patients in an ambulatory infusion setting.
  • Mix and administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, hydration, injections, and other medications under physician supervision.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patients during treatment.
  • Follow medication administration, verification, allergy-check, billing verification, and safety procedures.
  • Educate patients and families about chemotherapy, side effects, expectations, and symptom management.
  • Schedule chemotherapy, hydration, injections, and related procedures in the EMR.

Job Description:

Registered Nurse – Chemotherapy/Infusion Century City, CA | Full-Time | $47.00–$65.00 per hour

Make a Difference in Oncology Care

Los Angeles Cancer Network is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Century City team. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to oncology patients throughout their treatment journey—from diagnosis through ongoing treatment and supportive care. Our Chemo/Infusion Nurses play an important role in creating a safe, supportive, and positive experience for patients and their families. We are looking for a nurse who combines strong clinical skills with exceptional patient care, communication, and compassion.

What You'll Do
  • Provide direct nursing care to oncology and hematology patients in an ambulatory infusion setting.
  • Mix and administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, hydration, injections, and other medications under the direct supervision of a physician.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patients throughout treatment.
  • Follow all required medication administration, verification, allergy-check, billing verification, and safety procedures before medications are administered.
  • Access and draw blood from port-a-caths and PICC lines.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and proper use and maintenance of ambulatory infusion pumps.
  • Educate patients and families regarding chemotherapy, potential side effects, treatment expectations, and symptom management.
  • Provide emotional support and help patients maintain autonomy and independence throughout their treatment journey.
  • Encourage new chemotherapy patients and their families to utilize the See Your Chart Patient Portal.
  • Schedule chemotherapy, hydration, injections, and bone marrow procedures in the EMR.
  • Monitor Coumadin levels and provide appropriate patient education.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
  • Maintain current knowledge and competency in chemotherapy and medication administration.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and continuing education.
  • Attend nursing and team meetings to maintain professional knowledge and licensure requirements.
  • Assist the Charge Nurse with daily clinical operations.
What We're Looking For
  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Strong IV skills with demonstrated ability to access port-a-caths and PICC lines.
  • Previous oncology/hematology experience highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of oncology/hematology-specific medical terminology.
  • Basic computer, typing, and keyboarding skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and stay organized in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, physicians, nurses, and the broader healthcare team.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and emotional stability when caring for patients experiencing serious illness and complex medical needs.

Compensation

The pay range is from $47.00–$65.00 per hour depending on experience and education. This is a full-time position based at our Century City office in Los Angeles, California. This role may require travel to other satellite offices.
