Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an experienced nursing leader to direct ambulatory operations across locations in the United States, ensuring delivery of high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with physicians and care teams, develop staff, manage budgets, and drive operational improvements.

Preferred candidates hold an advanced nursing degree and demonstrate strong leadership, budgeting, and change-management skills to support patient safety and staff development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) and minimum three years of experience in business operations, clinical health care, or a directly related field.
• Minimum two years of leadership experience with or without direct reports.
• Minimum two years of customer or member/patient service experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at hire.
• Credentials from multiple states required; primary state license plus additional state license(s) post-hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides developmental opportunities for others; builds collaborative relationships across teams.
• Manages designated work unit by translating plans into actionable items and ensuring policies are followed.
• Oversees ambulatory operations to support patient care, including reporting, budgeting, recruitment, and performance management.
• Ensures standardized care delivery by partnering with physicians and experts, managing complex work streams, and monitoring performance metrics.
• Drives improvements to patient-centered operations and technology processes through data-driven initiatives.
