Job summary

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia Health's Ambulatory Operations seeks a nurse leader to manage the practice of professional nursing and patient care delivery across ambulatory clinics. Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited nursing program is required.
• Master's degree in a related field must be completed within 5 years of hire.
• 3 years of progressively responsible RN experience in patient care required.
• Virginia RN license required with AHA BLS certification.
• Valid Virginia driver's license for managers with multi-location responsibilities.
• Specialty certification required at hire or within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Manages the practice of professional nursing and patient care delivery within Ambulatory Operations.
• Provides clinical supervision and daily ambulatory clinic operations oversight.
• Oversees human resources, financial management, and performance improvement activities.
• Collaborates with Medical Director and Patient Access leadership to optimize access and efficiency.
• Develops staffing models and onboarding plans to support patient population needs.
• Leads performance improvement initiatives and monitors key metrics.
• Ensures patient safety and regulatory readiness across ambulatory settings.
