The Ambulatory Nurse Manager is responsible for the operational management and administration of activities that promote the delivery of safe, efficient, and effective health care. The role ensures effective planning, staffing, coordination, and evaluation of daily operations. The Ambulatory Nurse Manager is accountable for the clinical practice of nurses and Medical Assistants, supporting established evidence-based standards that align with practice policies, goals, and objectives.

Responsibilities include managing human, financial, and other resources to facilitate daily practice operations and patient care. The manager oversees staff training, competency assessments, and staff evaluations to ensure high-quality service provision to patients, staff, and physicians.
The role involves providing leadership in decision-making and policy development in collaboration with key stakeholders and JMG Ambulatory leaders.
Provides clinical expertise to staff, medical, and nursing personnel, and patients.
Coordinates with management to deliver outpatient services that are safe, efficient, and compliant with JMG and hospital policies, as well as regulatory requirements.
Participates in strategic clinical planning activities to support the institution's goals.
Manages the department budget and ensures the optimal use of staff, equipment, and supplies.
Serves as the nursing management liaison by attending necessary meetings and managing other assigned duties.
Manages professional behavior, coaches team members, and conducts annual evaluations of direct reports.
