Job summary

Baystate Health in Northampton seeks an RN to provide independent triage and patient care using strong assessment skills and point-of-care testing. You will educate patients with chronic substance use health conditions, collaborate with clinicians to develop care plans for complex cases, and advocate for patients' rights and preferences.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts nursing license and BLS CPR certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Experience with substance abuse care or primary care exposure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Provides independent quality triage and patient care utilizing strong assessment skills, point of care testing and quality assurance checks Provides education, ongoing assessment and support to patients with chronic substance use health conditions In partnership with patient and medical staff, develop and implement plan of care for complex patients including medical and/or psychosocial disorders. Triages and coordinates patient care ensuring access to care and patient success. Promotes health and wellness for individuals and groups of patients. Demonstrates respect and advocates for the patient’s rights, values and belief systems.

Required Work Experience

Massachusetts license as an RN and BLS CPR certified. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience Experience providing clinical care, education, and treatment to patients with substance abuse diagnoses or primary care experience Demonstrated interest to work with patients from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Must have competency in delivering exceptional nursing care and have proven success in partnering with both physicians and staff

Location - 325 King Street, Northampton Full Time Monday - Friday Sign On Bonus eligible- Must have 1 year of outpatient experience Sign on Bonuses are paid to external hires only; not applicable for internal or company transfers, unless otherwise specified. Former employees are eligible after 1 year post separation from Baystate Health.

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees. Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum $72,800.00 - $101,774.00 - $130,728.00
