Job summary

Baystate Health, Springfield, MA, is seeking inpatient Registered Nurses for a part-time day shift on our orthopedic unit. You will provide direct patient care and work with a multidisciplinary team to support patients through perioperative and post-operative recovery.

Qualified candidates must hold a Massachusetts RN license, maintain BLS/CPR, and have at least 1 year of RN experience. A nursing diploma is required; BSN is preferred. Competitive pay and benefits are available.

• Document nursing assessments, interventions and patient progress in medical records.

Department Description

32-Bed Orthopedic Specialty Surgical Unit located on the 7th floor of the Mass Mutual Building. 30 private rooms. The unit services a wide variety of patients, with a large population of elective surgeries such as total hip replacements, knee replacements and orthopedic trauma patients. The unit also sees those with acute conditions generally associated with trauma, ranging from fractures, ligament tears, tendon tears, and joint dislocations. Physical Therapy Room on unit for direct rehabilitation services.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.

No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
