Job summary

Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus is seeking a Clinical Ambulatory Services Representative II for the Outpatient Neurology Clinic. You will be the first contact for patients, providers and staff, expediting check-in/check-out by reviewing appointment status and insurance information, and securing pre-visit payments and referrals.

The role requires a Medical Assistant certification and clinical experience, with preference for bilingual Spanish/English speakers.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification is REQUIRED in one of the listed programs.
• Experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient registration procedures per department process
• Obtains and verifies patient demographic data for each encounter
• Confirms patient appointments, verifying patient demographics and insurance information
• Enters, batches, and reconciles charges daily
• Ensures interpreter services are available for patients as needed
• Provides basic office support including ordering and maintaining office/clinic supplies; maintaining office equipment; managing correspondence; copying, faxing, mailing and filing documents; and collecting and distributing mail
• Serves in key role to assure most efficient patient throughput in exam rooms

EMT - Emergency Medical Technician TX DSHS

2-years’ experience in a clinical setting
