Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in delivering high-quality care in the ambulatory setting. Under supervision, you will prepare patients, perform rooming, assist with exams, and help with virtual visits and follow-up scheduling.

You will document all care in KP HealthConnect, maintain stocked exam rooms, and ensure patient safety by adhering to policies and CLIA regulations. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with phlebotomy training.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Kaiser Permanente Medical Assistant competencies within 60 days.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in using applicable computer software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician in providing comprehensive medical care.
• Prepare the patient for the medical examination.
• Perform rooming and screening activities and collect patient histories.
• Perform clinical tasks and/or procedures under supervision.
• Set up patient for virtual visits and manage room turnover.
• Chaperone for exams if requested by patient.
• Document all care in KP HealthConnect.
• Monitor patient flow to minimize wait times and ensure positive patient experience.
• Maintain stocked exam and procedure rooms.
