Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and other providers with routine patient care and clerical duties. The role focuses on rooming patients, preparing examination rooms, and ensuring efficient patient flow within the department.

Under direct supervision, you will assist in procedures, document in the electronic medical record, and help maintain patient safety and compliance with Kaiser policies. A strong customer service orientation is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with at least 120 hours of clinical experience.
• Diploma and transcripts OR completion letter for KPCO Medical Assistant Apprenticeship.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and facilitate provider schedule; respond to member/patient needs and build rapport.
• Assist in routine examinations and procedures; attend patients during procedures and provide supplies.
• Perform basic clerical duties: check-in, scheduling, documentation in EMR, and maintaining logs.
• Support safety policies, infection control, medication administration practices, and patient identifiers.
