Job summary

Cooper Norcross Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and care teams in ambulatory settings. The role includes patient greeting, vitals collection, rooming, charting in the EMR, intake coordination, and patient outreach.

You will assist with vaccinations, specimen collection, and test results, while maintaining high standards of service and patient safety. A minimum of one year of MA experience is required, along with EKG and venipuncture skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of recent experience working in a medical facility as a medical assistant or externship completed.
• EKG, vital signs, venipuncture, capillary and injection experience.
• Excellent organizational, written/verbal communications and teamwork skills.
• Current BLS/CPR certification through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and guests using AIDET and provides excellent service experience.
• Performs many administrative duties in ambulatory settings including vitals, documentation in EMR, MyChart messaging, and rooming.
• May administer vaccines and handle specimens, documents tests and results, and assist with orders and authorizations.
• Maintains regulatory standards and collaborates with multidisciplinary team to uphold Mission, Vision and Values.
• May be asked to work at other ambulatory offices based on volume.
