Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support ambulatory clinics across Utah County, Park City and Heber. The position is 30 hours per week with a variable schedule, including early mornings to late evenings, and travel between clinics.

You will assist clinicians, gather patient information, communicate via multiple modalities, and collaborate with care teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or 1 year MA experience or a current RN/LPN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
• Basic computer skills with word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect patient privacy and PHI.
• Utah-specific: MA residency option if certified with less than 1 year MA experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under clinician direction and assist the provider during visits.
• Communicate clearly with patients via phone or in person.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patient care.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and follow-through in care tasks.
• Assist with lifting, moving, and transporting patients and supplies as needed.
