Job summary

Intermountain Health LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City seeks a Medical Assistant to support our ambulatory clinic teams. Under the clinician's direction, you will gather information, assist with visits, and communicate with patients by phone and in person to ensure high-quality care.

This full-time role is 36 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with opportunities for career progression and education assistance up to $5,250 annually.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have MA program completion OR at least one year MA work experience OR current active RN/LPN license in Utah.
• Current BLS certification required prior to start date.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect PHI and patient privacy.
• Utah Only: MA residency program possible if certified with less than one year MA experience

Responsibilities

• Providing Patient Care under the clinician's direction and assisting the provider with information relative to the visit.
• Effective Communication with patients via phone and in-person interactions.
• Team Collaboration with cross-functional staff to ensure quality patient care.
