Job summary

Intermountain Health in Murray, Utah is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a busy ambulatory clinic, under clinician supervision, delivering care for acute and chronic needs. You will gather patient information, assist with exams, and communicate with patients by phone and in person, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality care and patient privacy.

Shift is 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm, at Intermountain Medical Center's Schmidt Chest/Pulmonary

Qualifications

• Proof of completion of a Medical Assistant program or 1+ year MA experience or RN/LPN license in Utah.
• Current BLS certification prior to start date.
• Basic computer skills for word processing and data entry.
• Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with patients and caregivers to deliver high-quality care.
• Protect PHI and patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under clinician direction.
• Assist the provider by gathering information relevant to the visit.
• Communicate with patients via telephone and in person.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate patient care.
