Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Direct MA experience or medical field work 0-1 year preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
• Comply with all local, state and federal privacy and confidentiality rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Directs patient to exam room, records vital signs and assists with procedures.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vital signs.
• Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Record patient medical history and test results.
• Perform general office duties, answer calls, and complete insurance forms.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other specimens and prepare them for testing.
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain supplies.
• Sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
